Emirates Cabin Crew Scales The Tallest Building In The World

The past few months have been tough on every country especially on Dubai as the UK imposed a ban on flying to and from Dubai due to current pandemic scenarios. Being on the red list was proven tough for Dubai as it cannot operate in one of the biggest and most popular destinations in the world. This restriction severely impacts emirates’ business as the UK is one of the main countries that provides business to it. The wave of relaxation flew when Dubai moves from red list to amber list which means that people are once again allowed to travel to Dubai without any restrictions.

Emirates is the world’s third-largest airline and it was founded by the royal family of Dubai in 1985. The first aircraft was provided by Pakistan and the first successful flight was from Dubai to Karachi. Since then through partnerships, investments, and joint ventures, this airline has become the world’s topmost luxurious and comfortable air carrier. Nowadays, this airline is filled with state-of-the-art technology that aims to provide its customers the best experience. The relaxing business and first-class, in-flight entertainment, frequent flyers program, and expansive airline operational network, all catch the attention of travelers. This airline at present providing its luxurious and most comfortable services to 85 countries.

In the light of the above-mentioned news, emirates which is one of the top national airlines of the U.A.E did a strange stunt that left everyone in a shock. It’s the latest advert of emirates in which a cabin crew member in full uniform scaled the tallest building in the world. Yes, you heard it right, she stood on top of Burj Khalifa. The advert states that” moving UAE to the UK’s amber list made us feels like we’re at the top of the world.

The 33 seconds advert opens up with a close-up view of the flight attendant, at first no one notices anything strange. A fully dressed business class cabin crew member shows a series of messages thanking the UK for moving us to the amber list. As the camera pans out we can see that she’s standing at the top of the Burj Khalifa which is 828 meters high. Of course, she’s balanced with the help of a harness. The flight attendant is a trained stunt artist and she was next in life after Hollywood artist Tom Cruise and the crown prince of Dubai to be at the top of the world. In an interview, she stated that it was a breathtaking experience for her.

Now, most people are questioning that it was done with the help of visual effects or they may have used a green screen because most people are stunned that how could someone do that and it looks so clean. For that emirates uploaded a behind the screen video proving that it was all real and the steps of the whole process and how did they manage to get things safe and sound. The flight attended was harnessed with the pole because at that point the winds could be a problem. The calmness of the flight attendant was because she was secured at that point. This was a well-prepared stunt otherwise it could lead to some problems. The attitude and sheer dedication show a signature move of how well the cabin crew behaves even when they are tested in such circumstances.

To get this task done the crew took an elevator to the 160th floor. It’s the last floor that can be accessed by elevator. Then moving further up through a narrow staircase to get to the top of the building. Few of the crew people followed the “star” to the top where she had to stand and clipped her uniform to the pole behind her so that she is well secured. Few might believe that the signs are fake and they are edited afterward, it’s just a theory but to me, if they could get her to the top then that’s enough.

As far as the safety measures are concerned, we all know that it was an actual stunt so it could be a matter of life and death so safety had to be taken into account. The casting crew had a close eye on it. All the stages like training, testing, planning, and safety protocols are duly followed. A proper team was set up to think about every possible situation so that nothing could go wrong.

In the end, time will tell that this stunt was necessary or not when it reaches its due audience or not and does this video is worth making or not. Another important announcement by emirates to all its visitors who are visiting it, to provide a free day pass to the world Expo that starts from 1st of October 2021 to 31st March 2022. All these perks and advertising are proven well for everyone in the past but will it be the same in the case of Emirates and does the future pandemic situation have any effect on UK’s amber list, only time will tell what’s going to happen.
